Automatic Deletion of Items waiting to be relisted.

I brought this issue up previously via Chat Messaging. Two hours ago, I had 47 items waiting to be relisted. I now have 12. Your computer program automatically deletes items after a certain time frame. I am allowed to list 40 items a month. So, I am forced to pick and choose which items to try and sell first. But if I forget to take note of the time frame - before I know it, they are gone.

These listings had only been waiting since before Christmas and now I am forced to spend time redoing 35 deleted individual items - time I DO NOT HAVE. If your programmers can write code that leaves 'returned items' displayed for 18months then why on earth can't the items waiting to be relisted be displayed for a similar time frame - because the majority will be sold well before this time. Every time your program does this, I get annoyed and just put the stuff on Facebook because I don't need to write PRECISE INDIVIDUAL DESCRIPTIONS - so you are losing $.

I should be able to leave my items to be relisted on my page as IF I NEED TO - like I said I can list 40 items a month. When I have the time, I make drafts in case I have a great month, BUT the same thing happens to the drafts they get automatically deleted as well. AND the drafts section allows 20 DRAFTS so I can't redo my 35 deleted listings all at once!!!

PLEASE NOTE - I USE A COMPUTER - THERE IS NOWAY I COULD DO THIS ON MY PHONE. (Arthritis in my fingers) Not everybody uses mobile phones. Besides I could not store the hundreds of photos I take, on a phone.

The last person I spoke to about this [on - chat with us] told me to make more templates - I AM NOT GOING TO MAKE 90 TEMPLATES just so I am prepared BECAUSE I am not going to SEARCH through that many AND THE PHOTOS DO NOT remain on the templates they are deleted as well . . .

Somebody please discuss this with the programmers because it is is raising my blood pressure.

Thank you for your time.

Automatic Deletion of Items waiting to be relisted.

Unsold only remain in eBay for 60 days.

You can log into ebay.com (ebay USA) to get photo's and descriptions, they sometimes remain there for 90 days.

BTW, eBay staff don't read here.

Unsold items remain for 90 days if you use seller hub, which everyone who wants to 'store' stuff in unsold should be using.

Listings can be scheduled and stored there forever by scheduling them 3 weeks ahead of time and then rescheduling (in bulk) before they have a chance to go live.

Why do you think you're entitled to use ebay as a storage place for your listings?  if everyone did this they'd need larger servers, which would involve more costs and more maintenance.  Ebay want people to list items that sell, not use the site for storage for slow selling items.  Either open a second ID or just wait till the first 40 sell before you list the next lot.

Ebay is a business that needs to make a profit just like any other and it's not realistic to expect them to run their site just for the convenience of individual sellers, especially those who don't sell much.

Thank you so much for taking the time to respond. It says on my end that eBay staff read these but I didn't really think they would bother. It is just my "NOT AGAIN' reaction that made me seek an alternative place to get help. I thought it was a 60 day turnover but all of the items deleted were last listed before Christmas so no longer than 6 weeks ago. It is as if files were cleared because it is a new year. Time for me to find an alternative I think. . .

Thank You again ๐Ÿ™‚

Not entitled - just exhausted and looking for answers, as time is precious, and the issue ridiculous. I previously used Turbo lister but as it kept shutting down my computer, the program was removed. I will look into seller hub - thanks for the information.

Thank you your advice it is appreciated.

 - Just clicked on seller hub 3 times and it says something went wrong, please try again later - ha ha ha - hopefully it won't keep saying that ๐Ÿ™‚

Automatic Deletion of Items waiting to be relisted.

Log into Seller Hub and go to listings and click on  Unsold ended listings

or select Unsold from the menu at the top.

Which will bring up those listings that you think have disappeared.

I'm pretty sure you can do a lot more than 20 drafts at once but you just can't see any except the last 20 you did. Once you've set them to go live the others appear, eg. once the first one goes live one of the hidden ones will show.

In seller hub you can set up as many drafts as you want and they all show, but they only last from between 6 and 10 weeks before they fall off.
