Dear eBay community, Can someone please explain why so many eBay descriptions delete the letter sequence "no" what is their problem ?
And why does eBay seem unconcerned about it.
"no" is deleted from not, know, etc in descriptions of unrelated items.
It has to be a problem with eBay putting up the descriptions.
Am I the only person in the world to notice this? (would be spelled tice in a description)

Goodness, I've not heard of that issue before? Have you tried cleaning out you browser cache? That can often fix a lot of eBay glitchy issues.
There should be others around soon that might have more idea than me.

That's bizarre!
@mayflowerlash, I wonder whether possibly it's to do with an eBay script trying to filter out misuse of the word "not" in titles and descriptions. (Keyword misuse, as when someone tries to list a jacket and, in order to attract people using the word "Chanel", the seller states "Not Chanel" in the title, description, or both.)
At any rate, what you describe seems either like a temporary technical glitch, or something gone mad in a bot-generated script.

Book descriptions using eBay's 'catalogue' use Nielsen data, which always strips out any occurence of 'no'. This has been ongoing since eBay started providing a 'catalogue'. As this is a third-party provider, I doubt eBay have anything to do with it. Or care; they probably aren't paying much for it.

Glad to see the duplicate post screaming at everyone is gone. I doubt most people would be bothered replying. It would be nice if the OP returned to see if the issue has resolved, but I doubt they will.

Thanks for this info.
At least I have an explanation.
I can live with it, I now ad an "no" to any text that looks wrong.
Cheers
