Hey everyone, so I get home from work at 11:22 then my phone gets a message from Commbank saying that i have spent $715.69 from eBay, right now its currently pending I have sent a dispute to my bank but what I am very unaware of is how and why eBay has taken $715.69 from my account? I don't sell anything on eBay nor do i intend to, the only time I used eBay was to buy a cord for a headset that I own and other then that I haven't used eBay for anything else ... if anyone does have any clue or idea to why this has happened to me i would be greatly appreciated, I have cancelled my card and will be going into the bank tomorrow morning

Kind Regards, Corey Power

DO NOT CLICK ON ANY LINKS OR RESPOND TO THE MESSAGE IT'S A SCAM.

If you have done any of the above immediately run a Malware program and change all your passwords.

I get messages from banks all the time, except that I know they are scams. Heck, I even get messages from "Commbank", and I don't even bank with them.

How did you send the dispute to your bank? Did you click the message or did you log in separately to verify?

Any clue why it happened?

Scam phone call

Have you given out any information over similar scam phone calls before last night?

Have you had scam calls which asked you to press 1 and you did?

From the recent message, it sounds like OP has checked their account balance and it has been taken out.

Many years back my eBay account was hacked and purchases made by Russians.
