Ebay would not offer new passwords when rejecting a password, or anybody could get into an account... Usually if you have to reset your password, they send a link to your email address. They usually don't offer new passwords or send new passwords to your email address. Some institutions, like banks, give you a temporary password when you create an account for Internet banking, but when you forget a password they normally send an email so that you can reset your password yourself.
