Many thanks. All back to normal, Ran my malware prog, System mechanic and even Reimage, re-booting between each. On the final reboot all came back to normal. Beats me why it happened, I'm normally very particular about security and screen out darn near everything the slightest bit suspect.
All's well that end well. Thanks for the advice.

eBay tech staff do not read here (no matter what the blurb says, they do not read people's posts or check for issues
It looks like you are uing Internet Explorer? which eBay has not supported for a long time
Have you tried using a different browser?

Nothing to do with security and everything to do with slow downloads. Which could well be security-related if you overload your system with them, or use IE.

Some Firefox users getting a similar screen report that disabling Enhanced Tracking Protection on eBay fixed the issue; though it appears that the issue may correct itself at some point.

So the only useful advice on the thread was the most complicated and it solved your problem.
That does not mean that the commonsense answers were useless....thanks for being so dismissive.
