I am wondering if there is a technical issue. For the past six or seven items I have bought off eBay, I have not received any feedback from the sellers. If it was just one or two, I'd not worry, but it does seem odd that a whole bunch in a row haven't left feedback. This must be a technical issue, surely?
Has anybody else experienced this and, if so, how can we get the people at eBay to fix it?

Have you left feedback for them? Some sellers only leave feedback for buyers after receiving fb, sometimes automatically/immediately after receiving positive fb, sometimes later (some sellers leave feedback for buyers once or twice a month).

Feedback on both sides is entirely voluntary. I have several thousand transactions on this site as a seller, but I would say that the amount of feedback left is around 20%.
Buyers can only get positive feedback anyway, so it is a meaningless number for other sellers to look.

I doubt they would fix it (no doubt the cs rep will say otherwise if you were to contact them
Feedback is voluntary
Buyers can only be given positive so no matter what the number says, it can only ever be 100%
And on my other account, more often than not, people did'nt bother

I always leave feedback; it seems like the polite thing to do.

It just seems odd that the last few all in a row haven't left feedback. Every now and again they'll be one or two, but a load in a row? That's just peculiar! Of course, in the grand scheme of things it doesn't really matter, but I have a bit of an OCD thing so it's bugging me! Ha.

It is just weird it is a load all at once. I shouldn't let it bother me. I just thought it might have been a glitch that others were experiencing. Ah well. *insert 'shrug' emoji here!* 🙂

If you look at their "feedback left for others" you can get a better idea. Some sellers only leave feedback for others sellers, and some used to give feedback to buyers in the past but haven't left fb for buyers for a long time. I have noticed this sometimes. I think some big sellers don't even know that feedback for buyers can be automatic after they leave positive fb, as I have seen some give fb a bit at random, just to show they leave fb for buyers maybe, but they don't leave fb for everyone. I have seen some buyers leave really great feedback, but it was those who left "normal" feedback who also got feedback. A bit strange, that's why I thought maybe some sellers leave fb at random because they sell a lot and leaving manual fb is a lot of work if they don't know it can be automatic.

As a seller, I only leave feedback once it has been received from the buyer and I appreciate those buyers who take the time to do so. The reason is that I don't know if a buyer will suddenly open a case or raise an issue, so I'm not just going to give out green dots if I suddenly find I have a problem on my hands. I have been burned before.
Overall, I think that for the vast majority of sellers and buyers, they simply can't be bothered. Of my last 20 transactions, only 3 have left feedback for me.

As a seller - so do I.
But there is a bright side - no dots mean - no red dots.
