Ignore. It is a relatively infrequent eBay alert that never seems to relate to reality.

eBay has begun sending such messages for each sign-in from an unrecognized browser. Unrecognized just means that the browser has no cookies from a previous sign-in to that account, or the IP address does not correspond to a previous sign-in.

I do not think there is a way to disable those messages.

If you are routinely erasing your browser cookies, or changing your network address, you can expect to receive such messages when you sign in again.

Do the browser, location and time correspond to your own sign-in activity? If so, you can ignore the message.

Keep in mind that the location may not be precise; it may correspond to the location of the network rather than your actual location. Browser information may not always be available.

If you do not recognize the location, time or browser, and you suspect that someone else may have gained access to your account, you may want to change your eBay password.

Yes I am constantly receiving this message from ebay and it said to add device to "Devices you Trust" in Security yet it does not allow me to.

The "Devices you trust" section deals with 2-factor authentication, I believe.

Your browser cookies and IP address are what matter for the "new device" emails.

So anyone using a VPN can expect this nuisance?

So anyone using a VPN can expect this nuisance?

It depends on whether your VPN is using a fixed IP-address or not.

If your VPN (or your service provider, more generally) is assigning a new IP-address every time you use it, each time the address changes you will get that email the next time you sign in to eBay.

Likewise, if you erase your browser cookies or use a new browser, you can expect that email when you sign in.

I get those messages after rebooting my cable modem, as my provider assigns me a new IP-address when the modem reconnects after a restart.
