Warning to all. Ebay developed a technical fault that resulted in my credit card being drained today

Made a $137 purchase today. In 3 hours, Ebay sent the transaction to Paypal so many times that over $2k was taken out of my account. Paypal had to unlink the Ebay connection, and I also had to block the card. Took 5 calls to Ebay before they admitted fault.

I had a buyer complain a couple of days ago that Paypal had charged them twiice.  They sorted it out, but I don't know the finer details.
