Why do I only get vastly "Overlarge" EBay Plus page during the day? It is impossible to navigate.

During the Australian day, I can only log in to a very "zoomed up" "EBay Plus" log in or Personal Page, with very large fonts, big black arrows, few graphics, and which is almost impossible to navigate or Search with. Category links appear, but are very difficult use.

This has been happening for several months.

This is usually a sign of overloaded servers, deliberate redirection, or very badly written programming [which has happened before with EBay], and excessive, unsafe use of Javascripts. I have not joined EBay Plus, and have no interest in a paid subscriber service. Why am I having "EBay Plus" forced upon me?

I can only get on to my normal looking Account Page at night, probably when there is less traffic, deliberately or inadvertently.

I called , but only get redirected back to the Website "Help", with no ability to contact Customer Service or leave a message.

Does anyone have any specific knowedge of the situation, or a resolution? What is happening to EBay?

I get email offers to join Plus, but I've never had an overly large page.

I access eBay through a bookmark though, not the home page. Once you get to My eBay, bookmark it and access eBay that way.

Sounds like what happens when style sheets cannot load for a page.

Try another browser and see if that helps.

If the page loads fine in another browser, there may be a problem with your cache, eBay cookies, settings or add-ons in you original browser.

If the same issue occurs with mulitple browsers, there may be a network issue involved; not long ago, many users in the UK experienced something similar that turned out to be caused by faulty "child safe" settings from their particular internet service providers.

As I said, this usually only happens during the day. I logged in again @ 11:30 PM, and everything is fine. This must have something to do with overloaded servers and latency [online delays].

I use a Password Manager [Roboform], and there are usually no problems. This is an intermittent problem, generally only appearing during the day, so it either network [possibly ISP] or EBay related.

As another response outlined, it could be style sheets not loading properly.

Do you have any plugins in firefox that may be interfering?

It may also be some form of Flash plugin problem. It's being outdated from what I have read.

Even though the programmers may have gone through the code, they may be relying on a proxy switch to keep working on the site during the day. Thus showing another version of the eBay site as you suspected.

Yeah, I would try another browser and see if it persists.
