Why does ebay australia show items from usa when they will not send to Australia.

Please remove any USA sellers from australian ebay if they say they will not send to Australia. It is very annoying finding something you want only to find out they will not send to Australia.You spend ages scrolling through selecting colours etc only to be blocked at the checkout after filling out all the relevant address etc. It is a waste of time so I usually give up and look at other marketing sites that do only show Australian sellers. Ebay has is becomeing less and less relevant as a site to purchase items.

That should only happen if you are on the US site when you are searching.

Most listings where the seller does not normally ship to Australia have the GSP on them so you can get them sent to Australia.

Can you post the item number of one of the listings in question please.

I think they do show them on the other ebay sites even if they won't post overseas. A friend of mine has been abused many times by US buyers for advertising her items on the US site but not posting there, and we've concluded that her items must be showing up in the small ads down the side and on other listings.

One way to avoid US sellers is to select "Australia Only" from the menu on the left-hand side of the page, rather than "Worldwide". If you choose "Worldwide", it will show all sellers, regardless of whether they ship to Australia or not.

They could also show in the secondary search,(eg: the search only reveals a small number of items or none

and they then show you items with less of the search terms or listings from other countries or both).

They will at times have some sellers in those lists that don't post to Aus.

It’s frustrating AF, as I can not buy US17 sneakers here in au no one makes them, i jag an odd pair off eBay no idk but seller states due to Covid-19 he couldn’t ship to Australia. Frustrating as f#‰k

Idk if it’s my boarders or his us California or eBay boarders but seller just stated he couldn’t print a shipping list & forwarded me a pic as proof, so if you can trade with US now pandemic stopping it, ludicrous..

I totally agree, as I'm sure those other posters from a couple of years ago would. 

I realise that none of us should be inconvenienced at all by the coronavirus. After all, if we don't have it it doesn't matter how many other people have it, or how they spread it. end sarcasm.

Yes, you are right I have been trying to get some black truck trim only available in the US and told they not sending to Australia. I agree they should suspend any US company selling on eBay
