can't click on watch in listings

Can add items to my watchlist when item is opened but can't simply click on watch in the list of items page

Same here.   Been doing it for so long, I just open the listing.

Yeah, I've had it happening for months. I just open the listing now too. Maybe eBay did it so buyers would have to go into the listing and read the description!
