Does anyone have any information on how ebay's "hotness signals" function. I have been selling on ebay for years and when someone buys from my multiple listing items it will normally show up with "1 item sold in the past 24 hours" however now it only shows up with how many people view the listing even after recent sales. I contacted eBay about this and have been told the following:
this is working as expected when sold history show and sometimes it's not on the site, since we have a prioritisation of the various hotness signals on the item card based on how the hotness signals impact conversion.
Number of items sold/completed is a hotness signal and its surfacing logic is dependent on the threshold and prioritisation amongst other hotness signals. Thus this is not a technical glitch on site.
Thanks for your patience and understanding on this matter.
Sincerely,

My listing has always showed recent sales on the hotness signal and has only recently started to not show recent sales so I do believe there is a technical problem here that ebay can't really be bothered fixing. Anyone have similar issues as descibed. I seem to be the only one experiencing this issue.
Any info would be greatly appreciated
Cheers,
Dan
