Hi, been trying to contact ebay re my log in issue but no joy, now I read they closed contact centre 2 years ago due to covid, as far as I know covid cannot be transmitted by phone so b/s.
I keep getting emails about logging on's in my account, suggesting I change my password, have changed my password 3 times, no sooner log in and get another msg re log in, just about had enough of it.
So anybody has any idea how to fix this problem as ebay could not care less.
Any assistance would be much appreciated.
Thank you.

You can contact eBay via live chat ("Contact Us" at the bottom of the help page).
I think the call centre was closed due to COVID because there are different shifts and the same phone can be used by different people. Yes, of course they could just disinfect it, but they decided live chat was better. It has the advantage that they send you a transcript of the chat, which can be useful sometimes.

Bs? really?
So I take either it you imagine there is only one person at a time in the call center and that each staff member has their own phone?
Or, do you think it is acceptable for the staff just to transmit it among themselves and take it home to their families etc?
Has to be one or the other
But you expect they should put themselves at risk to care about you?
Assuming the emails you are getting are real and not from scammers, use the other options available to you to contact eBay

You have to go to this page eBay Customer Service, scroll down to Contact Us (at the very bottom), then go through all the options. It does not really matter if they are not perfect for your case, but you have to select something anyway. After going through all the options, you will see a link to start live chat on the left side (on a laptop, I don't know if it looks different on a mobile).
