"See Full Item Description" button PROBLEM

Many listings are currently devoid of their item descriptions, which have been replaced by a clickable "See Full Item Description" button which takes you to a new browser tab without any reference to eBay. VERY, very dysfunctional and needs fixing PRONTO!

I reported this to eBay via phone and email yesterday without any indication of an acknowledgement of the problem let alone they are working to fix.

This is why eBay needs a CURRENT SITE PROBLEMS button everyone can click on to see what is wrong with eBay and what they are doing to fix current problems. For too long we are kept in the dark and most of the time no one bothers to report issues because you get no thanks and no action at all. So people go elsewhere and eBay continues to get a bad name.

They are unbelievable

(and as for their twaddle reply, there are two other threads, one of which has many posts on it)

Thank you Enigmabear for taking the time to reply. People like you are wonderful and help ease the frustration. If only eBay didn't do the same thing here. I posted here already about this issue but someone in eBay must have deleted it. Let's see how long this thread lasts.

Appears eBay are testing a new feature on some listings.

It's also freaky friday, eBay maintenance day where strange things happen.

Thank you too kopenhagen5 for your kind words.

Looks like eBay management is realizing their sellers might be important enough to act swifty. Maybe one day they will get their options for needing help in the case of site problems because I could only select "Can't List an Item" when there should be an option like "The eBay Site Has a Major Dysfunction". Plus, why does eBay ever think they have a right to alter a person's listing when they always say they are only a conduit between seller and buyer?

I hope you realise that the technical team it has been referred to is a round metal receptacle sitting on the floor beside the referrer's desk. Or, if not, the referree's.

Still not fixed. This thread will show here as long as it takes eBay to get their act together and fix this problem they created.

"See Full Item Description" button PROBLEM

I wonder if eBay actually knows that this Click Here button on a lot of items for sale all over the place by larger sellers opens a new tab and can take buyers to external contacts/websites for supply outside of eBay. I guess smart sellers have worked out how to do that given their proper item details have been removed by eBay.

Still not fixed. Now it's totally random. I thought it might have had something to do with benign images (no external links) placed in the item description but I have listings with images in the item description and some are affected and some not. I recently bought 2 products direct from a seller's company website and now I know why it was so easy for the sale to be made outside of eBay.
