Some time ago Ebay informed everyone that it must advise the ATO of all sellers that had sales in excess of $20,000 pa. Recently I heard that the ATO has asked Ebay to advise them of all sellers that have sold in excess of $10,000 pa. Has anyone else heard of this and if so when did Ebay send out the advice. Thanks.

Read the ID.
And try to make it timely, not days after the fact.

Nor does the hypocrisy of the poster.
Not counting the fact that my post was, to those with a couple of brain cells to rub together, an obvious play of their ID.
Of course, if the aim is to slag people off without taking into account cicumstances, you have probably hit the jackpot.

There could have been a cute pun there, seriously it was lost under all that hostility. Been quite a night. How are the other threads going Dave, having fun?

Always. Any time wannabe character assassins who have a track record of wannabe and a track record of never actually providing advice come to play is a 'paradise'. In that they out themselves as trolls. Good thing you're not one.

A member of the boards for 5 years and blank is all you can muster for your first post?

I presume you are referring to ebay in your condemnation of the ATO?
Ebay is not liable for Australian Tax at present as they are an American company.
Only if the Australian Government changes the law will they have to pay tax here.
How does that make the ATO scum?
There are reasons for companies not paying tax.....if they have not made any PROFIT they do not pay tax.
