Tried to purchase two separate Supercheap Auto products from eBay using the 15 per cent off Click and Collect promotion. Both items are listed as out of stock at all three of my local stores. But attempt to purchase either product via Supercheap's own website, and like magic, both products are listed as in stock at the same three stores.
I can't help wondering if any eBay listings from Dick Smith, Masters or Supercheap Auto are currently available via eBay. I suspect that stock levels will however magically reset as soon as the promotion is over.

Jessica, which click and collect are you talking about.....the pick up in Woolworths/Big W or the offer to buy from Dick Smith, Super Cheap Auto or whoever has the promotion going at present.
They are 2 very different promotions which work in very different ways.
Your comment about keeping track of the items makes very little sense in connection with either promotion.

Any store seller (once they have joined with eBay) can offer click and collect - this means that the buyer can collect the items from the eBay seller through the Woolworths or Big W stores. The buyer is not actually purchasing from Woolworths or Big W but from an independent seller on eBay.
As a seller offering click and collect I have not had one buyer purchase through the click and collect system but it has caused some interesting emails from buyers who don't understand the system.
Maybe eBay should clarify how the system works.

Not quite. It's only available in limited areas, afaik.

This is not correct. At the moment the Woolworths/Big W Click and Collect can only be offered by sellers selected by ebay and is only available in Sydney and Tasmania.
As for ebay clarifying how the system works.....it is expained if you bother to read about it.
For many buyers it is definitely not a viable delivery option.
I buy on ebay because I want my items delivered to me at home as I have mobility problems. If I could get to Big W to collect my items I would do my shopping there in the first place.

Not impressed with the new "Click and collect" system. Firtsly there is no store near me, secondly, I can't filter the stupid "C & C" out of my search filter. So the item I am chasing ends up with a huge number of C and C listings - but I can't purchase any of them.
I liked Ebay because the big distributors can't "over-run" my buying and I like to support the "little guy" - but it looks like this has all changed.....

If the seller offers Click and Collect they would also offer Free Postage as well.
They cannot offer C & C unless they have the free postage offer.
Just buy from any seller and ignore the C & C option.
