Re: Update on yesterday’s message about changing your password

What about identity theft? these hackers now apparently have names, dob, addresses and other private info. Sure they haven't got our bank financials, but for me dob and other private information should be kept private. I feel violated! When will ebay figure out exactly who is affected? Identity theft is a real issue.

Re: Update on yesterday’s message about changing your password

The theft of 223 million eBay users’ details makes it the most widespread computer hack in history. The previous record was a long-term hack of 160 million credit card numbers through various US businesses from 2008 to 2013.

Re: Update on yesterday’s message about changing your password

As part of the advice to change password I decided to also change my other details including my registered eMail address. As I have recently obtained my own  WEB address I thought that using my new email was a good idea. I followed the instructions to change my registered eMail address but for some reason it has refused to accept my new one. My WEB address is " xxxx@xxxxx.kiwi  "  which is one of many new Top Level Domain names that have become available. It seems that eBay does not recognise this TLD so it is possible it will not do so with others. Anyone else had this problem? If so I suggest you advise eBay as I have. Cheers, ausdealer
