I got this notice in Firefox when clicking on the 'pay now' link after purchasing an item (I got the same message in Chrome):
checkout.payments.ebay.com.au uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate expired on 4/11/2013 10:59 AM. The current time is 4/11/2013 12:25 PM. (Error code: sec_error_expired_certificate)
What is the deal here? Is there a genuine problem with the ebay certificate?
Cheers!

I'm recieving the same error message, so there must be a problem with the site.
I hope it gets fixed soon, as I always pay immediately after I purchase an item.
At least we now know that there isn't a security issue on our end that it causing the problem.

Yep, happening for me too when I went to "Buy Now". I won't purchase until the certificate is deemed ok, just in case.

Yep, I'm having the same problem, too - certificate expired 1 minute prior to me trying to pay for something I'd committed to buy and now I can't pay until eBay sorts out a new security certificate :-(.
Feel sorry for the seller because they also now have to wait to receive payment until it's all sorted - not good for business!
And, it's still not sorted, 7 hours after it expired . . . eBay, we'd like to pay for our goods, please fix!!
Thanks . . .
