The following message is from Australia Post:Effective from 8 April 2013, Australia Post will be making some price adjustments. Full details outlining the changes can be viewed at auspost.com.au/newprices.
The postage prices for eBay / Australia Post flat rate products will also increase from Monday 15 April 2013. Postage for the 500g satchel will increase from $6.20 to $7.15 and postage for the 3kg satchel will increase from $10.55 to $11.70. The postage prices for the eBay / Australia Post flat rate boxes will also be increasing. The cost of packaging for these products is not changing.

In preparation for this change, eBay will reflect the new pricing of the eBay / Australia Post flat rate products on its site from Monday 8 April 2013. However, these new postage prices will become effective on Monday 15 April.
Australia Post takes the decision to raise prices very seriously, as we know that price increases can present a challenge.
We're confident that eBay / Australia Post products continue to offer eBay sellers unique benefits at very competitive prices. These include improved cash flow through only paying for postage when an item is posted, the simplicity of organising shipping online, the convenience of lodging in a street posting box and, for satchels, a significant discount off the equivalent sized Australia Post Parcel Post satchel.
