23 October 2013 | 06:07PM EST We're working on updating some of our listing policy pages - improving the layout of the page to make the policy guidelines clearer and aligning the policies to other eBay sites. In some cases, we're consolidating policy information and retiring older policy pages. In particular, we've reviewed the following policies: The Site interference policy has been rewritten. A number of policy requirements have been added, although these are implied (if not specifically mentioned) in other selling policies. The Search and browse manipulation policy has been reviewed and updated. There are some changes to the guidelines on Brand names and Keyword spamming. Two older policy pages Categorisation of Listings and Keyword Spam) are being retired. A new Academic, beta and OEM software policy page combines all of our rules on listing software, and replaces the three individual policy pages. A couple of additional points have been added to the guidelines on Beta software. The Rules about Intellectual property – overview page has a new layout. Two older policy pages (Movie Prints and Promotional Items) are being retired. We've also updated our policies on Enabling duplication of copy-protected material, Encouraging infringement, Mod chips, game enhancers and boot disks, Authenticity disclaimers and Bootleg recordings. These pages have a newer format. but no material changes to policy requirements. We're not finished yet; this is an ongoing effort to streamline our listing policies.
