We've updated the following policies about items that are prohibited or restricted on eBay so they more clearly set out what is and is not permitted to be sold on eBay.com.au. In some sections of these policies, we've also added guidelines to align the policy to other eBay sites.
-
Travel policy: in particular, please note some new guidelines relating to commercial and public transportation tickets, accommodation and cruises and package travel.
-
Police-related items policy: in particular, please note some new guidelines relating to uniforms and emergency vehicles.
-
Drugs and drug paraphernalia policy: in particular, please note some new guidelines relating to drug paraphernalia.
-
Medicine and healthcare products policy: this new policy sets out our guidelines on medicines, healthcare products, and agricultural and veterinary products and how these products may be described in a listing.
-
Describing drugs and drug-like substances policy: this policy is being removed, with the guidelines being incorporated on the Drugs and drug paraphernalia and Medicine and healthcare products policies.
We've also updated the Community content policy and Pre-sale listings policy to put them into a newer format and align them to other eBay sites.
We'll let you know about further changes to our policies as they're ready.
Regards,
The eBay Team
