For sellers listing in most categories within the Car, Truck Parts category (#6030) there will soon be a better way to list. From 15 November 2012, eBay.com.au will be providing parts compatibility for listings in this category.
What is parts compatibility?
Parts compatibility allows sellers to show vehicles that are compatible with a part or accessory in a single listing, helping to save time and money and giving buyers an easy way to find the right parts for their vehicles.
When you assign compatible vehicles to your listing, buyers will find the parts they're looking for more quickly, and will feel confident they're buying a part that will fit their model. You can choose compatible vehicles from a Master Vehicle List (MVL) of more than 37,000 models.
Why take the time to list with parts compatibility?
- Greater search visibility. Those listings with parts compatibility information will be seen by more potential buyers than those without. Make sure you capture all of your potential buyers!
- More buyer interaction. Buyers tend to interact 27% more with a listing that has parts compatibility information than a listing without*
- More information for buyers leads to less time answering buyers' questions around compatibility, and potentially less returns because the part doesn't fit.
