From around 1:15am PST (8:15pm AEST) on Monday, some eBay users around the world experienced issues visiting the site and contacting customer service. By 2:55am PST (9:55pm AEST) Monday, site functionality had been fully restored.
Based on our initial investigation, the issue was caused by an isolated network issue at one of our data centers. We quickly took action to re-route traffic to alternative data centers to help restore functionality to our users.
We know any interruption for our users is frustrating and we regret any inconvenience this may have caused. We will be in touch with affected sellers to provide them with additional information.
Regards,
The eBay Team
