What's changed

It is important that you take the time to read the updated User Agreement. What follows is only a summary of the changes.

We're making it clearer what is included in the User Agreement and what will happen when we make changes to our User Agreement, our policies and additional terms for eBay services, or eBay fees. We're also making minor changes to a couple of sections to ensure they accurately reflect eBay services and/or to provide users with additional clarity.

Specifically, the following sections have been updated:

  • Introduction, Scope and General have been updated to better explain how the User Agreement works, what is included and how the User Agreement or other policies and terms may be updated. These sections now incorporate information that was previously in the "Additional terms" section.
  • Fees and services has been updated with additional information on how eBay fees may be updated, as well as situations which may result in additional fees being charged.
  • Breach has been updated with additional information for clarity.
  • eBay Plus has been updated to reflect the eBay Plus membership plans available (monthly as well as annual).

Next steps

Please take some time to read our updated User Agreement.

  • If you accept the updated terms, you don't need to do anything else.
  • If you do not agree with the updated terms, please take steps to close your account. Should you choose to do this, you may wish to remove your listings prior to the updated terms coming into effect. There is information about what happens to your listings following an account closure under the General section of the User Agreement.
