As you know, we’ve been investing in the eBay Plus program to recognise and reward sellers that offer great delivery options and top-level service that buyers can trust. The eBay Plus badge will soon become the primary seller badge on eBay.com.au.

The eBay Premium Service (ePS) badge will be phased out starting in July 2020. It has already been removed from search pages and will be removed from listing pages later this year.

Why we’re making this change

By consolidating our badging on-site, we’re giving buyers a more consistent and compelling shopping experience.  It also creates a simpler selling experience, as there is only one set of criteria for you to meet in order to be recognised and rewarded for great service.

In fact, the eBay Premium Service criteria are similar to the eBay Plus badge criteria.

If your listing qualifies for eBay Premium Service, you're already offering:

  • Free domestic postage
  • 0-1 day handling
  • 30+ day returns
  • An express postage option

To help qualify for an eBay Plus badge, make sure you are:

  • Offering a reasonably priced express postage option*
  • Uploading valid tracking for your eBay Plus orders

*For example, if your carrier charges $6 for standard postage and $10 for express, then you should only charge the buyer $4 for express postage. There is a $15 maximum express postage cost for badge eligibility.
