From 23 July 2022, we’re changing the eBay Plus express postage contribution. It’ll now be paid per transaction, rather than per item.

So what’s changing?

At the moment, eBay Plus sellers receive up to $4.00 back for items over $15.00 and up to $2.50 for items between $9.90 and $14.99 to help them with the upgrade from standard to express postage.

What does this mean for me?

Instead of providing multiple express postage contributions:

  • You will receive one express postage contribution if you sell multiple of the same SKU.
  • You will receive a maximum of two contributions if a customer buys different SKUs.

For example,

  • If a customer buys 3 phone cases (the same SKU), you’ll receive one contribution.
  • If a customer buys 3 phone cases and 2 screen protectors, you'll receive two contributions.
  • If a customer buys 3 phone cases, 2 screen protectors and 2 USB chargers, you will receive two contributions.

Why are we doing this?

In most cases, sellers only need one package for postage — even when a customer has bought different items from a single store. To keep providing sellers with the express postage contribution, we need to make sure it’s sustainable and being used correctly.
