I have customer who bought 17 items, should have only been 10 items. How do I change the invoice I have agreed to chage

I have a customer who purchased 17 items and I sent invoice. The purchase was meant to be for 10 items and I have agreed to the change. How do I amend the invoice and purchase details without deleting the whole purchase transaction
