Why dont I have to login to Paypal to pay for my eBay purchases?

I wish to change my settings, so that I DO have to login to PayPay when making a purchase.I find it confusing that you just click on Paypal and it is paid. For safety sake I would like to login with my Paypal passwordThank youFran Myles
