why did i have to request to have money released for an item i sold in september?!

Not happy with having to wait for payment to clear from paypal - caused confusion with buyer - him saying íve paid'and myself saying I have not recieved funds. I may start using facebook online sales - ebay ans paypal becoming all too difficult!
