Do I need an ABN to claim deductions at tax time on my eBay sales (selling fees , postage etc)

Do I need an ABN or to register as a business to claim deductions at tax time if my eBay earnings are over 10k?Or can I just claim everything (postage costs, cost of goods, eBay subscription fees etc) as long as I've got receipts?
