How to upgrade buying account to selling account? Can I open an eBay store this way, or do I have to open a new account?

I want to upgrade my already established buying account to a selling account with an eBay store. Is this at all possible or do I have to open a brand new account and start from scratch? Please help, having trouble getting a straight answer.
