A buyer purchased a handbag 5 months ago. She has asked for a refund as the item is coming apart. I sold it as being USED Should I refund ?

Hi To All, I sold a second hand Handbag 5 months ago and the buyer has asked for a refund as the bag is coming apart. Should I offer the refund? I think 5 months is over the top to be asking for a refund. Any advise would be appreciated
