I am receiving a refund for an item that was not as described. The seller wants to pay via cheque, not via paypal. Is this ok?

I payed for the item through paypal and would prefer to receive refund this way. I'm just not sure if I feel comfortable receiving a cheque and woud like to know if I have the right to request the refund via paypal. Thanks
