Automatic outbidding when nobody else has even bid

Hey Everybody, What does it mean if say for instance, a $0.99 item has no bids on it, and you bid $10 and it says "outbid" automatically? Is that dodgy? It happened to me when I placed a bid recently. Cheers!

Ohhh okay. The bid is showing now that was before mine. It must have been hiding from me at the time, LOL. All good. Thanks for replying!
