Hi I listed an item starting at 0.99c,I had anopening bid,then afurther bid which wentto $1.04,does anyone know why it has only increased5c?

Hi all i listed an item for0.99c,i had an opening bid then one further bidat $1.04,only a 5c increase,why has the bid increased by only 5c? thanks
