buyer has bid on an item instead of the buy it now option that was their preferred. They are the only bidder (2 bids at same price).

buyer has bid on an item instead of the buy it now option that was their preferred. They are the only bidder (2 bids at same price). Can they retract bids and revert to buy it now. I note that the buy it now option disappeared as soon as they bid.
