if you open an unpaid item case against buyer then they pay so you close case then they return item for a refund can I still get my fvf back

if you open an unpaid item case against buyer then they pay so you close case then they return item for a refund can i still get my fvf back and cancel the transaction as item would then be unpaid?? help,, thanku
