I was the highest bidder for a queen bed ensemble, to find today that the buyer had cancelled my bid due to the fact that she is new to eBay and said she didn't realise that she had to state a minimum price, she has put the ensemble back in eBay now ...

Is this allowed to be done? Owner emailed me back stating she is new to eBay and didn't realise she had to list minimum bid if she wanted a price for the item and said its her fault, she does apologise but this is still misleading to us as customers ...
