£15 voucher

Can anyone explain to me why my wife has a almost completely dormant eBay account and gets a £15 voucher every few months and my highly active account (Especially as a buyer) have never received a voucher of any kind..

Just so you know you are on the Australian boards. ebay.com.au

eBay no doubt employ marketing teams and one of the tasks would be to target market.

So targetting accounts that don't buy to entice usage of eBay would make sense.

I have also noticed when I don't buy for a while I get vouchers.

Similarly with a friends account. When they haven't used their account for 6 months or more, vouchers start appearing.

Sorry I didn't realise I was on .au sort of makes sense everything about eBay is difficult like trying to find a way to contact customer service or fight a case of being a seller getting scammed by a fraudulent buyer... just don't see why the regular user's can't get vouchers too, seems to me like it's now a free for all for the scammers, sorry went into a rant there completely off topic... been a member for eight years and im a frequent seller and a massive buyer and I mean like every few days but I have never once received a voucher...

Yeah, that's unusual to never have received a voucher.

But often notification isn't given on vouchers.

For example I have just made a purchase using 5% voucher having seen it on a listing and only after I used it, it now appears on my eBay page to be able to use it a total of 3 times.

It pays to look at a few items for sale from time to time and it usually shows on the front page of a listing with a little green dollar sign.

It does here in Aus anyway, might bt different for UK. Smiley Wink

Yes even though we have used the £15 voucher yesterday we are still getting emails that it's still available to spend (tried it don't work), honestly I spend a good few hours a day looking and buying on eBay, yes I'm sad and bored because I work from home, I have never seen the 5% or similar voucher you mentioned, maybe I should log off completely and leave eBay for a while and see if they try to entice me back with some kind of offer...

Looks like you're like me always buying, which I think ebay look at it and say oh well no need to give them a voucher because they spend alot on ebay lol.

I think vouchers are handed out to people that hardly buy anything just to entice them lol.

Very true crow.   I have only had one voucher (on my other seldom used account) apart from the miserable 5% available to everyone.

And the last 5% was ended before I used it for the 3rd time even though it was supposed to last till 1/1/19.
