Fake eBay Cancellation Department call from Sydney 02 8210 5233

Watch out for the latest robo calls pretending to be from the eBay Cancellation Department (no such thing) and pretending to call from 02 8210 5233.  The automated msg says if you want to cancel a fraudulent $399 purchase dial 1.  A guy (calling himself Harry), claiming to be working from Sydney didn’t even know the name of the State premier!  You could also ask the number of new covid infections today (since the premier earlier this week announced that they would no longer be giving a daily update), again proving these people to be nothing than liars and scammers.

It's foolish to engage in discussion with scam callers. all you have done by that is verify that your number is active and now it's likely to be onsold to other scammers.

If you don't recognise a number don't answer it.....................

That is a great idea, accept a lot of us who run a business from our phone can't really do that,  if I ignored every number I get I wouldnt have a business.   But having said that I get these from amazon, the sherrifs department, etc, etc,  once they start spruiking rubbish like that, hang up.
