Friday sales.

I am guessing someone else has had this question to eBay and am hoping someone can answer it for me. Sales I make on a Friday, for example, to close of business, lets say $1,000 of goods were sold, the WHOLE amount stays in processing until Saturday when the money starts trickling over, then on Sunday night a mysterious amount of 349.60 has been converted and that's what arrives in my account on Monday afternoon. Why don't I get the full amount of Fridays sales on Monday, of course I am still waiting for Saturday & Sundays money, seems they are holding it longer than needed, is there a reason?? Thank you for anyones assistance in getting my heard around it.

Re: Friday sales.

You really have 2 options.

1.  Send the good's as you know the money has been paid,  and is in the process.

2.  Close your account and enjoy life

Re: Friday sales.

I'm wondering if it could be your bank that has different processing/cut off times.

Re: Friday sales.

The money is showing as processing, it hasn't even made it to "Available Funds" so it isn't being transferred. They only transfer what's in "Available Funds". Right now, 1pm, Saturday, all of Fridays sales are still showing as processing, not 1 dollar has made it to Available funds.

Re: Friday sales.

Maybe credit card payments? I don't think they are instant.

Re: Friday sales.

That was my thoughts on it when I first saw it,   credit cards can take a day or 2 to be settled.   On the purchasers end, the funds are committed (so they cant technically cancel),   but the funds havent flowed through to the sellers account.

Re: Friday sales.

Now 3.15pm Saturday afternoon and still no funds have made it into "Available Funds", the processing amount is getting bigger, there is no way 43 sales were all paid with credit card.

Re: Friday sales.

Many buyers pay with their credit card linked to Paypal, so your sales will be a mix of plain Paypal, plain credit card and a mix of card via Paypal.

This is how I now pay since being moved over to the new sytem - since I don't have a source of funds sent to PP any longer, I have my CC linked to PP so that if I need to purchase, I'm still using PP, but funding with my CC, which may well account for the types of delays you're experiencing.

Re: Friday sales.

It is pretty simple,  there are things called  Business Days,  which do not include Saturday, Sunday or PH's

How you get paid

As an eBay seller, you'll receive your payouts in your linked bank account.

Once the buyer's order is confirmed, you can send the item. The selling fees and other costs are automatically deducted, and your sales proceeds will show as Processing funds.

It typically takes 2 business days from confirming the buyer's payment for the sales proceeds to appear as Available for payout, unless the transaction was placed on hold, in which case it may take longer.

Re: Friday sales.

I don't think there is a logical answer to my problem. PayPay give instant approval which is why eBay say payment has been made, send the goods even when we haven't seen a cent of the money. Now 10.15pm, close to 2000 in processing funds and nothing in available funds. With PayPal we had instant access to our money and if credit cards are mainly used, why did PayPal give us instant access if there was a delay. Whoever is in charge of the managed funds money must be floating it for days to make money off our money prior to paying us.
