Horrible sales nightmare

My husband and I set up an eBay account in 2012 and within the last two months we started selling Microsoft software. It was such a nightmare that I can't sleep at night now.

First, all Microsoft software, if retailed from Microsoft Corporation, the product is sold only to the company, while individual software retailed by a distributor, the price is above $200. So, all of the Microsoft software that is sold online is produced from factories in China, and is also made in China with the tacit approval of Microsoft.

Since eBay does not allow individuals to sell Microsoft software, it should treat all individual accounts equally and prohibit the sale of Microsoft software, rather than arbitrarily blocking individual accounts and arbitrarily removing products sold by individual accounts without any reason.

Without any reason or prompt, you directly and permanently blocked our account, forcing us to continue to can't purchase and use, without any reason!

Since you think the Microsoft software we sell is illegal, why don't you block all personal sales of Microsoft software on your website? Why do you just arbitrarily block while your site still has countless individual sales, selling the same product. If you allow others to sell the same product, why did you block our account for over a decade?

You are so unreasonable that even if I registered a new account, you will arbitrarily block. I just want to know, since your reason is that the product does not comply with your policy, why do you still allow the same products to still be sold on your website, instead of banning them all?

Other members did none of the above

This is a member to member forum, eBay staff rarely read here

We are in no way responsible for your nightmare

Hopefully blaming fellow members has help you though

all you can do is report those other sellers' listings.

As for your comment about not being allowed to start selling on another (new) account, you are right.  Repeated attempts to start selling on other accounts will see you banned from eBay for life.

They, meaning eBay, have multiple ways to detect infringing accounts, including data matching IDs used for Managed Payments and tracking IP addresses being just a couple.

Short advice, don't try to sell Microsoft produ

Yes microsoft has products made in China, they are made under licence and only available to Authorized microsoft sellers.

If you are not an Authorized microsoft seller, don't sell items as new microsoft products, as in all likelyhood they are not genuine products, which leaves you wide open for legal action by microsoft.

If you continue attempting to sell these items on ebay, you will be deemed a risk to ebay and permanently restricted from selling.

Edit:

The restriction will apply to all acounts ebay believe are associated with you, which  can include relatives etc.
