I am sorry for your loss.
You are not contacting ebay here....the boards are run by volunteer members who have no authority to close any accounts.
As you obviously have access to the account as a short term measure you can go into the settings and turn off all the email options.
In the longer term you need to send ebay a copy of the death certificate with a request to close the account. While it may be upsetting for you, ebay will not just close an account on the sayso of someone who is not the account holder.
If they did allow just anyone to close accounts there would be mayhem.
