Is their an Australian government body that can help me with a dispute with Ebay

Is their an Australian government body that can help me with a dispute with Ebay?

The problem is, as you have admitted, is that you have not signed up for Managed Payments. It IS relatively new as it's only been de rigueur for the last FOUR years. If you don't sign up, you won't get your money. No need to contact eBay or any outside agency. The need is to conform with eBay requirements.

Simple

They took money out of my account they are not entitled to and there is no need to conform with ebay under these circumstances. Ebay apparently have realised this now and have credited my Ebay account which does not mean much until it is in my bank account. Unfortunately with the attitude to conform only adds to the problem for all Ebay members. As one wise man said "Feed the beast, The beast gets bigger!"

eBay's sandpit, eBay's rules. And the conformity is an Australian Government requirement so good luck with appealing that.

No it only adds to the problem of members who don't want to conform and break the rules.   I'm happy to conform because it is protecting us.

When people say you left a false positive, they are right.

It has headings on the top of the feedback page that say

Feedback      For      When

So your positive feedback was supposed to be FOR those buyers. A positive comment about them. Maybe they paid quickly or whatever. It isn't the place to air your general complaints about ebay. Do that elsewhere, send a message to ebay direct if you must.

I don't know that there is a government agency that will take on ebay disputes unless there was a significant general safety issue involved. Keep contacting ebay. Just not via feedback as they don't see that.

What are you saying? "Ebay does nothing wrong" or never gets anything wrong. Not possible!

Instead of blaming members, pointing out problems on Ebays end should be taken as constructive criticisms and used to improve their customer service and performance benefiting all concerned.

You have left three false positive feedbacks for the buyers when your gripe is with eBay

Feedback is not for eBay, not a way to communicate with eBay and what you have done is against eBay policy

Nobody said any such thing as for your issue

eBay is not going to read your feedback, unless the buyers report it (which they should have done already)

And if they do report it, your account will be pinged, if not suspended

You are 100% responsible for leaving this feedback

You agreed to the t&c when you listed the items

Blaming eBay in these cases because you fail to meet your own obligations (as has been said) is not going to achieve a thing

The problem is of your own making, and one which you show no interest in resolving

I do not know how you expect ' problems on Ebays end should be taken as constructive criticisms and used to improve their customer service and performance benefiting all concerned'  are not going to be seen by eBay in the first place

(As also already said)

Of course eBay get it wrong

Difference being most members here would go the right way about making eBay aware of an issue

It will not reach your bank account unless you do sign up for managed payments.

Its not Ebays fault that you havent signed up correctly.  Or that you have taken it upon yourself to leave false negative feedback for a Ebay user, instead of Ebay.
