Item specifics again. I have just updated all my item specifics and got everything up to date and someone in the ebay head office in all their glorious wisdom have decided to add more brand new item specifics. Now if we don't fill them in then our listing does not show to prospective buyers so I have to spend days all over again. Who makes these decisions to change what is working? For example when I sell a book I list the title of the book in the requited box. Now someone has changed the name of the item specific and all my titles are missing so I have to add them all again. Then there are the ridiculous item specifics now required like measurements of the book and weight. What buyer ever asks the seller these questions? I have never ever been asked this question by a buyer. It seems to me that ebay is yet again just trying to be clever and all they have done is made the sellers life much harder. There is no reasonable reason why this has been done. If ebay was serous about helping the seller then they could have left the old listings alone and added new item specifics for new listings only. Who has time for this ? I most certainly don't and what Pees me off even more is that there is never ever anyone who you can talk to that will really help to sort out the problem. I am one hugely frustrated and disappointed seller.

Book dimensions are in 'Additional' and are not required.
Title, author and language seem to be the critical ones.

I know I included the title of my books in my 'required' item specifics when I created the listings (as well, of course, including it in the title of the actual listing), but have discovered the titles have all disappeared and now have to be added again. So annoying...

I agree about making life hard for sellers. I have updated all specifics a few times at the demand of ebay, and now I get another email saying I still have 138 to update! Who has time for all this? I think Ebay are trying to wedge small sellers out, to make way for their Chinese friends to bombard the site with their cheap items (with free postage of course). A once good Aussie platform has been reduced to thisโฆโฆ
