Payment on Hold

I have received numerous messages saying the bag I sold has not been sent. It was sent and has been received.

The other listing for the bag's been  up since September.

Luckily, with a title of  "Women's Bags & Handbags in Clothing",  not many buyers will see or look at the listing.

@sassyy10

You need to end that listing now.

"I have received numerous messages saying the bag I sold has not been sent.

I did not buy postage through ebay I took it straight to the PO as the buyer wanted the bag asap so that is what I did.

That is fine for 30-day hold but it keeps showing a message saying the item was not sent"

After you posted the bag, did you actually mark the item as SENT ?

Re: Payment on Hold

No, it was sold. Ebay are holding the $$$. The buyer showed me his receipt. I somehow put 2 for sale ads & thought I was deleted. I went back yday & saw it and thought I deleted it AGAIN???

Re: Payment on Hold

Thank you so much I will go in over the next few days & see what I can find. Ebay have sent $$$ to my bank from the boots. Those details are on my account so I thought that was all they needed.

I sold & sent the boots and paid postage. I think I bought postage through eBay which I was going 2 do this time but went to the post office myself as the buyer wanted the bag asap. I have the tracking number from AP.

What is ABG?

Re: Payment on Hold

Do you mean MBG?

Itsโ€™s eBayโ€™s Money Back Guarantee.

All of us on this thread want to help you, but it does appear you havenโ€™t read the basic Help pages and policy pages. (Am I correct?)

Please read (and I strongly suggest you bookmark the link so that you can refer back to it as needed):

https://www.ebay.com.au/help/policies/ebay-money-back-guarantee-policy/ebay-money-back-guarantee-pol...

You should do the same with the link I posted in my earlier reply โ€“ that is, Registering as a seller. (All about Managed Payments, often referred to simply as MP.)

Re: Payment on Hold

You still have a bag for sale for $300.

Go to the listing in seller hub, select the dropdown next to the item, select end listing. Or even better, as you won't have to provide a reason, click the checkbox next to the item, scroll several millimetres  up, select 'Actions', and end listing from there.

While you are waiting for your payment, read the FAQs about selling, including, as mentioned ad nauseam, Managed Payments.

Or not. It is your account you are risking.

eBay wouldn't have paid you for the boots in the last 6 months unless you were signed up for managed payments at the time.

Your problem is that eBay's telling you the bag's not been sent.

You know the bag was sent with tracking and we know the bag was sent with tracking but eBay don't.

Unlike your last sale when you used eBay postage,

this time You  have to  Upload the Tracking.

You've been asked about it or advised to upload repeatedly throughout the thread and  all you

keep saying  "I have the tracking number".

So have you uploaded it yet ?

Re: Payment on Hold

Yes, I tried to see in my account if there was something I should be filling in. I did manage to find where to add the tracking number which I did but that was it

Re: Payment on Hold

Thank you that link was helpful. I have given the tracking number on ebay and they have all my personal bank details. I will wait and see later this month when I am sure the payment will be made. I couldn't find where to update but it says they will contact us if that is needed.

Re: Payment on Hold

Yes I have uploaded the tracking and everything you have said is right. It does get confusing when you can not directly contact someone from eBay. I am obviously registered as you have said and I could not understand why I was being asked if I was registered as a seller. But that is fine too the community have been very helpful. It seems now it takes 1 month to be paid which is fine too.  And thank you

Re: Payment on Hold

Thank you so much everyone has sent so much useful information. I do think I am registered as I was paid for some boots I sold a few months ago. Anyway, I will know within a month from the last sale. I did go back & read about the ID which I am hoping they have enough of (from the last payment) which goes back to 2020. A lot of sellers did not want to give this, especially bank & driver licence. Anyway, I will wait and see as they have my bank account details because that is where the payment went within the last 6 months.
