no reply back from seller

Seller will not reply back about item even after I have sent a couple of messages . It seems like he has a done a runner as I red some anothers negative feedback on his page. How to I contact ebay, ebay has set it up that you cannot contact them directly and you have to jump through a thousand hoopes and still no way to contact them.

Did you pay using PayPal, or did you deposit money into the seller's bank account?

I paid him through PayPal and still waiting for Ebay to contact this seller and get back to me. I want Ebay to step in .

eBay won't step in until the last estimated delivery date has passed.

At which time, if you haven't received the item, you open an Item Not Received case. If the seller can't prove delivery, you will be refunded.

Why do you need the seller to contact you? Was it a pickup item? That's the only reason non-contact by a seller would be an issue.

Why do you need to contact ebay?

If the item was received and was not as described, open a dispute for Item Not As Described.

If the item has not been received and the last estimated delivery date has passed, open a dispute for Item Not Received.

Ebay does not do anything just because you ring them.  You need to follow the rules and open an appropriate dispute before ebay can step in.
