received a phone call from ebay for verification of a blocked account

I received a call from ebay for verification of my phone number that I was asked when trying to buy something (as it warns me that ebay has blocked my account). but it asks me to press "1" if I expect the call. I did not press anything as it seems suspicious!

anyone knows what should I do?

Use the ONLINE processes that eBay has. They rarely do phone calls, especially in COVID times.

Is your account blocked? If so, why? If not, why would you give credence to a random phone call?

I can log in to it and search for things, when I want to buy an item it gives me message for verification saying account is temporarily blocked. but I have not received any email from ebay confirming it. does it mean I have been hacked?
