returns

Hi, I bought a camera and it has stopped working so i opened a return which he accepted but now has gone quiet I have no return address label even though he has to supply it and contacting eBay is next to useless getting the same responses so what happens now? it's past the date when i was meant to get a return label?

Re: returns

If you opened a dispute through eBay's Money Back Guarantee then ask eBay to step in and sort out the problem.

Edit. If you didn't use the MBG then open a dispute with it NOW - you only have a certain time period to do so.

Re: returns

Hi I already opened a return which he has accepted but I haven't received a return label from him and under ebays T&C if damaged or faulty it is the seller who must provide a return label but he hasn't and he's not responding so I don't have any address to send it to! So will eBay step in as I'm in limbo atm?

Cheers

Re: returns

I dont know but as it says on ebay and this is from them regardless if it was mbg

If you're sending an item back because it doesn't match the listing or it arrived damaged or faulty:

  • The seller pays for return postage
  • The seller should provide a way for you to return the item, or offer you a refund
  • You'll need to send it back using the postage label or other method provided by the seller

Re: returns

The return has been accepted by ebay and the seller all I want is the address and a label to send it!

Re: returns

If you have opened a dispute under the MBG, it will look like this in you purchaes history.

Capture.PNG

If you see that and it confirms that you've opened a dispute with the MBG, then fine.

If not open an MBG dispute NOW.

Re: returns

Yes that's correct under Australian law I'm covered! Anyway I spoke with a person and she said not to worry it's all sorted if the seller doesn't reply in the next day as he has until the 20th I will be reimbursed regardless. Thanks for everyone's help

Re: returns

In the dispute, the option to “ask eBay to step in”/ escalate should now be visible.

Click onto that option.

You have 21 days from the day of opening the dispute - 21 days only, to have the situation resolved. If the seller hasn’t provided you with return postage label after 3 business days (after accepting your return request), the option to escalate should be visible.

If you don’t escalate within the available period, the case closes without resolution and cannot be re-opened. If that happens, you won’t be refunded.

Check the status of your return request/dispute now. Is there an option to escalate?
