problem getting a refund from the buyer

hi I have been in contact with this buyer since the 31st dec about getting a refund as for myself his advertising was very misleading. he said he was happy to refund. he received the item. He then told me I had to go via PayPal which i did. PayPal told me I need to go through the Merchant as this would be quicker. I told him this & he told me no, I had to go via PayPay & open a case. I did this & I know they contacted him & i did not hear from him for a week or so. I contacted hism & told him I know they contacted him & why is it taking so long for my refund. He said Ebay will automatically pay me. that was over a week ago & still have not received nothing. My purchase was  order Insta 360 ONE R Insta 360 Price AU$549.99.

im sure you can access all of my messages to him. I feel he is giving me the runaround.

Oh dear, did you look at the seller's feedback before you bought the item?

I would not have bought from him in a fit.....for a so called Australian seller his feedback is terrible.

Was the item returned with tracking, and have you uploaded the tracking to the dispute?

Have you asked ebay to step in?

How long since you opened the dispute.....do not let it time out or you will have lost your chance of a refund.

This is a members board... no one can access your messages.

If the messages are as confusing as this post I'm not surprised you have had problems with a refund from a "buyer".

You have already sent the item back I take it as you said he [I assume you mean the seller] has received the item.

You never send an item back to a seller without going through the correct channels. If you have opened a paypal case you should receive the refund but paypal will want proof it was sent back, have they contacted you at all.

Sorry if I am completely wrong but your post is extremely confusing.

sorry it seems confusing. & i actually thought I had contacted Ebay to rectify this. I obviously didnt know it was a members board, I rarely purchase on ebay or have ever need ebay to intervene. But yes he did reply he received the item back & it did have a tracking number. he also agreed to refund. I will contact Paypal again to follow up. thanks

You are welcome, but please read all you need to know in the buying link I gave you, and always check feedback, as Lyndal said, your sellers FB is not great
